What “retired” means for you
- No new titles. Breeders Assistant has never heard of Olympian or Kitten Champion — and now it never will.
- One PC away from disaster. When Windows updates break it, or your computer dies, there is no helpline any more. Your .cdb file is in a format nobody supports.
- Photos and backups were always fragile. Move computers and your picture links break; forget a backup and a litter’s records are gone.
- It was Windows-only all along. No tablet, no phone, no Mac, no shows.
None of this is your fault — Breeders Assistant was good software in its day. But its day is over, and the official answer from Tenset is: nothing.

Who’s behind it
Perfect Pedigrees is built by Ross Davies — GCCF breeder (Burnthwaites/Ezbritz Siamese & Orientals), GCCF judge, and the person who has personally produced thousands of pedigrees for breeders across the UK and beyond, for GCCF and TICA registrations alike. This isn’t a faceless app from overseas: it’s built inside the British cat fancy, for it.

Frequently asked questions
Is Breeders Assistant really discontinued?
Yes. Tenset Technologies states on its website that it has retired its software products, which are no longer supported. There are no new licences or updates.
Can I still use Breeders Assistant?
If it’s installed and working, yes — but there’s no support, no updates for new titles or breeds, and a growing risk that a Windows update or hardware failure ends it for good. Back up your .cdb files now, whatever you do next.
Can you really import my Breeders Assistant data?
Yes — Breeders Assistant can export your data, and our importer reads those exports directly. We move cats, ancestors, contacts and records across, and we do it for you.
Does Perfect Pedigrees work for TICA breeders?
Yes. Pedigrees and certificates use the right terminology, titles and colour names for GCCF or TICA — not one-size-fits-all.
What does it cost?
